What's This All About?

Frustrated about life, the world, religion, happiness . . . ?

Guess what, you aren't the only one! This crowded world is filled with frustrated seekers, looking for happiness, searching for peace of mind, worried about what they hear on the news, worried about work, worried about relationships. Bugged. Cheesed off. Glum. Maybe it sounds incredible, but we make all this stuff ourselves. We make everything ourselves. We could be making happiness instead. Or if that sounds too hard . . .

Make yourself a peanut butter sandwich!

That's not so hard to do. There are lots of ways to do it, so it can be YOUR OWN custom peanut butter sandwich. White bread or wholemeal. Toasted or not. Chunky or smooth. With or without jelly. With marmalade, even. With raisins on top. With Trail Mix on top! Even with avocado slices!!!

Then sit down, Be Quiet, and bliss out.

Now sit down somewhere. Close your eyes for a moment and look inside yourself. (You didn't see ANYTHING there, did you? Good, that's just fine.) Now just enjoy your sandwich. Realize that making and eating a peanut butter sandwich is a happy thing. YOU JUST FOUND HAPPINESS. And you weren't even looking for it at the time, were you!

This isn't just about peanut butter.

That was just an example. It happens to be reliable for a lot of folks. But if peanut butter doesn't make you happy, substitute something else sensual, simple, easy and immediate. A bowl of ice cream. A cappucino coffee. Petting the dog. ANYTHING that's simple, positive, easy, right here and right now, will do just fine. Don't THINK about anything; just enjoy the experience, whatever it is.

This is something you can use.

If you actually tried what was suggested, and it worked, then you've found something you can use. A simple way to turn off the worry factory for a few minutes. A way just to Be with your Self for awhile. And guess what? You are now a member of the Peanut Butter Sangha!
