What Does "Sangha" Mean?

Sangha is a Sanskrit word meaning a spiritual community. It could be used to mean an actual, physical community, such as a community of Buddhist monks or nuns, or it can refer to a non-physical community of those who have attained a certain degree of enlightenment or awareness.

The PEANUT BUTTER SANGHA is composed of all those who have intentionally sat down, Been Quiet, and eaten a peanut butter sandwich as suggested here! It is EASY to join and it makes NO DEMANDS of its members. It's just here to help you help yourself find a little bit of happiness and peace, and so to live better.

There isn't any obligation at all. But if you find this easy-as-a-peanut-butter-sandwich approach to spirituality helpful, it would be a happy thing if you would contact us and tell us, or make your own little contribution to these pages, or even send the old Peanut Butter Web Guy the price of another jar of crunchy! Whatever you would ENJOY doing. No fuss -- whatever is easy for you.

Just imagine. If we actually could manage to get a few hundred folks together in one place on the web, who have all Been Quiet and savored a bit of quiet happiness by consuming a peanut butter sandwich -- or petting the dog -- or even feeding bits of the sandwich to the dog -- we would then have a little corner of the world where there was a NET GAIN of HAPPINESS! And considering the overall state of the world these days, that might be quite an achievement.

Om shantih.
